Our Approach

Access to a network of trusted associates from areas such as defence, health, education, IT, health and safety and HR enables us to provide a range of high quality solutions tailored to your requirements. You may be looking for some expert advice and analysis, coaching, one-to-one development or group workshops or perhaps you would prefer us to train in-house facilitators to deliver our programmes; whatever you are considering, if you are enlightened enough to understand the connection between positive workplaces and productive people then we’d love to help!

Learning and Development Programmes

We can deliver our acclaimed modular ILM-approved Leadership and Management Development programme as a complete event or in stages for individuals or groups from first-line managers up to senior leaders – we always tailor it to your requirements and we always make it interactive, informative and fun! We’ll provide resources, materials and supporting information drawing on our expert knowledge and access to the latest research. If you would prefer to hold events off-site we can source suitable venues close to your location.

Our learning programmes include a range of topics including: authentic leadership; communicating and presenting with impact; selling yourself; leading people through change; managing conflict successfully; and creating and sustaining high-performing teams. We use a wide range of resources and activities to support the learning and we encourage participants to introduce their own workplace experiences and issues.

Advice and Consultancy

We would be delighted to discuss your precise requirements: we will define what outcomes you’re aiming for and what success looks like before making any recommendations. We can help you to produce a learning and development strategy and plan, conduct training needs analysis and gap analysis, carry out a thorough and wide-ranging evaluation of learning and development activities and advise on options for professional qualifications and continuing development, ensuring that everything fits with existing plans and aspirations – whether you engage with us as an individual or on behalf of your organisation.

Maggie Fish has a background in military training, with particular expertise in leadership training. Maggie is now one of few expert providers of bespoke training in Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) in the UK. Clients include Public Health England (formerly the Health Protection Agency), Health Protection Scotland, NHS England, NHS Scotland and Welsh Health Boards. She is also a Visiting Lecturer at Loughborough University on the unique Diploma in Health Emergency Planning (Dip HEP) programme.

In addition to these specialised programmes, she also designs and delivers more general development programmes associated with improving performance. Designing bespoke programmes is Maggie’s preference in response to a need to improve performance as an organisation, as a team, as a leader/manager or on a personal level.

Sarah Crayford Brown is an accredited mediator and a coach with 25 years of experience. She spent 21 years as a barrister and for most of this time was also a senior manager responsible for implementing substantial organisational change within the Crown Prosecution Service. Sarah has extensive hands-on experience of HR issues including managing poor performance, sickness absence and disciplinary issues. Sarah was responsible for carrying out formal investigations into allegations under grievance procedures and conducting workplace investigations and appeal hearings.

However, Sarah often felt that these formal procedures were not necessarily the most effective way of resolving the issues and restoring working relationships and in 2007 she seized an opportunity to train as an in-house mediator. She has since mediated with staff at all levels and now also runs courses to qualify people as workplace mediators.
